NYS were asked if they wanted to pass an amendment to the NYS constitution,

to change IV.1, IV.2, IV.4, IV.8, IV.9 - to refine the roles of governor and lieutenant governor, and clarify the governor's role in the lawmaking process


as proposed by the NYS Legislature, based on a state commission's recommendation

And the voters said: Yes!
