Our Mission
Civic Juice is a startup nonprofit media organization aiming to nourish and power up discussions of government and politics with healthy information and deliberation. We create and publish content, giving people the ingredients: to discover how governments within the United States (local, state, and national) are built and how they work; to help citizens imagine how they could make thoughtful and meaningful change to improve government, politics, and civic life; and to give individuals the tools and the encouragement to collaborate for change in their communities. Our content focuses on the central ideals and principles of American constitutionalism: elections, rule of law, justice, liberty, individual rights, and more. We use digital platforms, interdisciplinary approaches, collaboration, and an attitude of wonder and experimentation.
Our Vision
We envision a civic and political life that encourages and is primarily characterized by:
- spirited consideration of collective values and policies
- mutual respect and compassion, where individuals listen to others’ perspectives and experiences while sharing their own
- an informed electorate that strives to learn about the history and structure of government, the roles of officials, and the positions and goals of candidates running for office
- our collective narratives (in arts, literature, drama, media, and news) embodying and representing our highest values for how to live and create a caring society together

Our Team
The Civic Juice team has over 15 years of experience working on voter education, elections, and advocacy to reform government in New York. We are informed by our individual backgrounds in public policy, mediation and diplomacy, sociology, arts, and media.
We are excited to launch independent resources for all those who are interested in impacting civic life in their political communities, and injecting some joy and creativity into it!
