NYS were asked if they wanted to pass an amendment to the NYS constitution,
to change IV.1 - to increase the terms of the governor and lieutenant governor, and to clarify election years
as proposed by the NYS Legislature

The executive power shall be vested in the governor, who shall hold his office for four years; the lieutenant-governor shall be chosen at the same time, and for the same term.
