The Text
The secretary of state, comptroller, treasurer, and attorney-general, shall be chosen at the same time and for the same term as governor, except that the secretary of state, comptroller, treasurer, and attorney-general, elected at the general election held on the Tuesday succeeding the first Monday of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, shall hold their respective offices until and including the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, and no longer.
