The Text
The senate shall consist of fifty-three members. The senators elected in the year nineteen hundred forty shall be chosen for two years and those elected in the year nineteen hundred forty-two, and their successors, shall be chosen for four years. The assembly shall consist of one hundred fifty-nine members. The members of assembly elected in the year nineteen hundred and forty, and their successors, shall be chosen for two years.
