The state shall be divided into fifty-three districts to be called senate districts, each of which shall choose one senator. The districts shall be numbered from one to fifty-three, inclusive. Until changed or altered as in this article provided, the senate districts shall be as follows:
District number one (1) shall consist of the county of Suffolk.
District number two (2) shall consist of the county of Nassau.

District number seven (7) shall consist of that part of the county of Kings within and bounded by a line beginning at the East river and Broadway, and running thence along Broadway to Berry street, to South Sixth street, to Broadway, to Hopkinson avenue, to MacDonough street, to Broadway, to Eastern Parkway Extension, to Bushwick avenue, to Highland boulevard, to the boundary line between the counties of Kings and Queens, thence along said boundary line to the East river, thence through the waters of the East river to Broadway, the point or place of beginning.

District number twenty-five (25) shall consist of that part of the county of Bronx within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of the Bronx river and the boundary line between the counties of Bronx and Westchester, and running thence along said boundary line to Long Island Sound, thence through the waters of Long Island Sound and East river following the boundary lines between the counties of Bronx and Westchester and between the counties of Bronx and Queens to the mouth of the Bronx river, thence through the waters of the Bronx river to the boundary line between the counties of Bronx and Westchester, the point or place of beginning.
District number twenty-six (26) shall consist of that part of the county of Bronx within and bounded by a line beginning at the Bronx river and Bronx Park South, and running thence along Bronx Park South to Daly avenue, to East One Hundred and Seventy-sixth street, to Crotona parkway, to East One Hundred and Seventy-fifth street, to Crotona Park North, thence southerly and westerly along Crotona Park North to Arthur avenue, to East One Hundred and Seventy-fifth street, to Webster avenue, to East Tremont avenue, to and along West Tremont avenue, to the Harlem river, thence through the waters of the Harlem river to the boundary line between the counties of Bronx and New York, thence northerly and westerly along said boundary line to the Hudson river, thence through the waters of the Hudson river to the boundary line between the counties of Bronx and Westchester, thence along said boundary line to the Bronx river, thence through the waters of the Bronx river to Bronx Park South, the point or place of beginning.
District number twenty-seven (27) shall consist of that part of the county of Westchester comprising the towns of Cortlandt, Eastchester, Greenburgh, Mount Pleasant, New Castle, Ossining and the city of Yonkers.
District number twenty-eight (28) shall consist of that part of the county of Westchester comprising the towns of Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mamaroneck, North Castle, North Salem, Pelham, Poundridge, Rye, Scarsdale, Somers, and Yorktown and the cities of Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and White Plains.
District number twenty-nine (29) shall consist of the counties of Orange, Rockland and Sullivan.
District number thirty (30) shall consist of the counties of Columbia, Dutchess and Putnam.
District number thirty-one (31) shall consist of the counties of Delaware, Greene and Ulster.
District number thirty-two (32) shall consist of the county of Albany.
District number thirty-three (33) shall consist of the county of Rensselaer.
District number thirty-four (34) shall consist of the counties of Saratoga and Schenectady.
District number thirty-five (35) shall consist of the counties of Clinton, Essex, Warren and Washington.
District number thirty-six (36) shall consist of the counties of Franklin and Saint Lawrence.
District number thirty-seven (37) shall consist of the counties of Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer and Lewis.
District number thirty-eight (38) shall consist of the county of Oneida.
District number thirty-nine (39) shall consist of the counties of Jefferson and Oswego.
District number forty (40) shall consist of the county of Onondaga.
District number forty-one (41) shall consist of the counties of Madison, Montgomery, Otsego and Schoharie.
District number forty-two (42) shall consist of the counties of Broome, Chenango and Cortland.
District number forty-three (43) shall consist of the counties of Chemung, Schuyler, Tioga and Tompkins.
District number forty-four (44J shall consist of the counties of Cayuga, Seneca and Wayne.
District number forty-five (45) shall consist of the counties, of Ontario, Steuben and Yates.
District number forty-six (46) shall consist of the counties of Allegany, Genesee, Livingston and Wyoming.
District number forty-seven (47) shall consist of that part of the county of Monroe comprising the towns of Brighton, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Mendon, Penfield, Perinton, Pittsford, Rush and Webster; together with the fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth, twelfth, the third, fourth, fifth and sixth election districts of the thirteenth, the fourteenth election district of the fourteenth ward, the sixteenth, seventeenth, the eighteenth, twenty-first and twenty-seconds wards of the city of Rochester, as at present constituted.
District number forty-eight (4S) shall consist of that part of the county of Monroe comprising the towns of Chili, Clarkson, Gates, Greece, Hamlin, Ogden, Parma, Riga, Sweden and Wheatland; together with the first, second, third, fifth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, the first election district and the second election district of the thirteenth, the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth election districts of the fourteenth ward, fifteenth, the nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-third and twenty-fourth wards of the city of Rochester, as at present constituted.
District number forty-nine (49) shall consist of the counties of Niagara and Orleans.
District number fifty (50) shall consist of that part of the county of Erie within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo and Niagara river, and running thence easterly along the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo to Colvin avenue, to Amherst street, to Parkside avenue, to Florence avenue, to Main street, thence southerly along Main street to East Delavan avenue, to Jefferson avenue, to Best street, to Timon street, to High street, to Grey street to Broadway, thence southerly along Watson street to Eagle street, to Smith street, thence southerly along Smith street to the Erie railroad, thence westerly along the Erie railroad to the New York Central railroad, thence westerly along the New York Central railroad to Main street, thence southerly along Main street to Buffalo river, thence through the waters of Buffalo river, to Lake Erie, to Niagara river to the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo, the point or place of beginning.
District number fifty-one (51) shall consist of that part of the county of Erie within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo and Colvin avenue, and running thence easterly along the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo to the easterly boundary line of the city of Buffalo, thence southerly along the easterly boundary line of the city of Buffalo to the Buffalo river, thence westerly through the waters of the Buffalo river to the Pennsylvania railroad, thence along the Pennsylvania railroad to Smith street, to Eagle street, to Watson street, to Broadway, thence northerly along Grey street, to High street, to Timon street, to Best street, to Jefferson avenue, to East Delavan avenue, to Main street, thence northerly along Main street to Florence avenue, to Parkside avenue, to Amherst street, to Colvin avenue, thence northerly along Colvin avenue, to the northerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo, the point or place of beginning.
District number fifty-two (52) shall consist of that part of the county of Erie comprising the towns of Alden, Amherst, Aurora, Boston, Brant, Cheektowaga, Clarence, Colden, Collins, Concord, Eden, Elmar, Evans, Grand Island, Hamburg, Holland, Lancaster, Marilla, Newstead, North Collins, Orchard Park, Sardinia, Tonawanda, Wales, and West Seneca; together with the cities of Lackawanna and Tonawanda, and that part of the city of Buffalo within and bounded by a line beginning at Buffalo river and Main street, and running thence northerly along Main street to the New York Central railroad, thence easterly along the New York Central railroad to the Erie railroad, thence easterly along the Erie railroad to Smith street, thence northerly along Smith street to the Pennsylvania railroad, thence easterly along the Pennsylvania railroad to Buffalo river, thence through the waters of Buffalo river to the easterly boundary line of the city of Buffalo, thence southerly along the easterly boundary line of the city of Buffalo to the southerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo, thence westerly along the southerly boundary line of the city of Buffalo to Lake Erie, thence through the waters of Lake Erie to Buffalo river, thence easterly through the waters of Buffalo river to Main street, to point or place of beginning.
District fifty-three (53) shall consist of the counties of Cattaraugus and Chautauqua.
