Founder

Talia developed the concept for Civic Juice since inception, manages the team and our strategic planning, edits and publishes the site, and makes sure we keep building and growing in exciting new directions. We thank her for her vision, momentum, and patience!

To create tools to make learning about government positive, deliberative, truthful, fun, using her background in constitutional + regulatory law, government structures, policy, research, mediation, governance, and NYC elections

Loves

Watching TV (all sorts) and movies (especially old ones), relaxing outdoors (picnics in a park, lying on beaches), and baking, painting, drawing writing, researching, dreaming and imagining

Was Policy and Research Manager at Citizens Union, analyzing and recommending policies to improve how government functions in NY city and state

Managed voter education initiatives for Citizens Union, Gotham Gazette, and DecideNYC.com

Worked on NYC’s 2010 Charter Revision Commission and local electoral campaigns

Has additional training and experience in mediation and corporate governance, and is fascinated to learn and improve how organizations make decisions and implement them
