The Text

The executive power shall be vested in the governor, who shall hold his office for four years; the lieutenant-governor shall be chosen at the same time, and for the same term. The governor and lieutenant-governor chosen at the general election in nineteen hundred and thirty-six shall hold office until and including the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight. Their successors shall be chosen at the general election held in that year and each fourth year thereafter.
