REJECTED
The Text
Amendments to this constitution may be proposed in the senate or assembly ; and if agreed to by a majority of the members elected to each house, such amendments shall be entered on the journals thereof, with the yeas and nays, and be referred to the next Legislature, and published for three months previous to the next general election ; and if in the next Legislature such amendments shall be agreed to by a majority of all the members elected to each house, it shall he the duty of that Legislature to submit such amendments to the people in such manner and at such time as it shall prescribe: and if such amendments are approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon, they shall become part of the constitution.
