In the county of Queens:
District number one (1) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Sixth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the East river and Hoyt avenue south, and running thence along Hoyt avenue south to Astoria boulevard, to Steinway street, to Thirtieth avenue, to Fifty-first street, to Northern boulevard, to Woodside avenue, to the main line of the Long Island Railroad, thence along the main line of the Long Island Railroad to Twenty-ninth street, to Forty-seventh avenue, to Dutch Kills, thence through the waters of Dutch Kills, Newtown Creek and the East river to Hoyt avenue south, the point or place of beginning.
District number two (2) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Sixth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at u point on the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, at the intersection of said boundary line and Woodbine street, and running thence along Woodbine street to Woodward avenue, to Palmetto street, to Forest avenue, to Gates avenue, to Fresh Pond street, to Woodbine street, to Fremont street, to the Montauk Division of the Long Island Railroad, to Sixtieth street, to Flushing avenue, to and along Grand avenue, to the New York Connecting Railroad, to Queens boulevard, to Sixty-ninth street, to Woodside avenue, to the main line of the Long Island Railroad, to Twenty-ninth street, to Forty-seventh avenue, to Dutch Kills, thence through the waters of Dutch Kills and Newtown Creek to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, thence along said boundary line to Woodbine street, the point or place of beginning.
District number three (3) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Sixth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at a point on the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, at the intersection of said boundary line and Woodbine street, and running thence along Woodbine street to Woodward avenue, to Palmetto street, to Forest avenue, to Gates avenue, to Fresh Pond street, to Woodbine street, to Fremont street, to the Montauk Division of the Long Island Railroad, to Sixtieth street, to Flushing avenue, to and along Grand avenue, to the New York Connecting Railroad, to Queens boulevard, to Woodhaven boulevard, to Cooper avenue, to Seventy-third place, to Myrtle avenue to Seventy-ninth lane, thence southerly along the western border of Forest Park to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, thence along said boundary line to Woodbine street, the point or place of beginning.
District number four (4) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Third senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at a point on the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, at the intersection of said boundary line and Atlantic avenue, and running thence along Atlantic avenue to Eighty-fifth street, to Jamaica avenue, to Ninetieth street, to Eighty-eighth avenue, to Woodhaven boulevard, to Jamaica avenue, to One Hundred and Seventeenth street, to Hillside avenue, to Kew Gardens road, to Eighty-third avenue, to Queens boulevard, to Union turnpike, to One Hundred and Fourteenth street, to Seventy-eighth avenue, to Grand Central Parkway Extension, to Sixty-ninth road, to Queens boulevard, to Roxton street, to Thornton place, to Fleet street, to Yellowstone boulevard, to Cooper avenue, to Seventy-third place, to Myrtle avenue to Seventy-ninth lane, thence southerly along the western border of Forest Park to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, thence along said boundary line to Atlantic avenue, the point or place of beginning.
District number five (5) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Fourth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at a point on the boundary line between the counties of Queens arid Kings, at the intersection of said boundary line and Atlantic avenue, and running thence southerly along said boundary line to the pierhead and bulkhead line at the mouth of Spring Creek basin, thence easterly along said pierhead and bulkhead line to One Hundred and Twenty-third street, to South Conduit avenue, to Van Wyck boulevard, to One Hundred and Thirty-third avenue, to One Hundred and Thirty-fifth place, to Sutter avenue, to Messing avenue, to Rockaway boulevard, to Lincoln avenue, to Linden boulevard, to One Hundred and Twenty-third street, to One Hundred and Ninth avenue, to Lefferts boulevard, to Atlantic avenue, to One Hundred and Sixteenth street, to Jamaica avenue, to Woodhaven boulevard, to Eighty-eighth avenue, to Ninetieth street, to Jamaica avenue, to Eighty-fifth street, to Atlantic avenue, to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, the point or place of beginning.
District number six (6) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Fourth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of Jamaica avenue and One Hundred and Sixteenth street, and running thence along One Hundred and Sixteenth street to Atlantic avenue, to Lefferts boulevard, to One Hundred and Ninth avenue, to One Hundred and Twenty-third street, to Linden boulevard, to Lincoln avenue, to Rockaway boulevard, to Messing avenue, to Sutter avenue, to One Hundred and Thirty-fifth place, to One Hundred arid Thirty-third avenue, to Van Wyck boulevard, to South Conduit avenue, to Farmers boulevard, to Merrick boulevard, to Leslie road, to One Hundred and Twentieth avenue, to Merrick boulevard, to One Hundred and Eighth avenue, to One Hundred and Seventieth street, to Liberty avenue, to One Hundred and Seventieth street, to Jamaica avenue, to One Hundred and Sixtieth street, to Ninetieth avenue, to One Hundred and Sixty-second street, to Hillside avenue, to One Hundred and Seventeenth street, to Jamaica avenue, to One Hundred and Sixteenth street, the point or place of beginning.
District number seven (7) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Fourth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of One Hundred and Twentieth avenue and Leslie road, and running thence along Leslie road to Merrick boulevard, to Farmers boulevard, to South Conduit avenue, to One Hundred and Twenty-third street, to the pierhead and bulkhead line, thence westerly along said pierhead and bulkhead line to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Kings, thence along said boundary line through the waters of Jamaica bay and Rockaway inlet to the Atlantic ocean, thence easterly through the waters of Atlantic ocean to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Nassau, thence northerly along said boundary line to One Hundred and Fourteenth avenue, to Springfield boulevard, to Colfax street, to Murdock avenue, to and along One Hundred and Fourteenth avenue, to One Hundred and Ninety-sixth street, to Linden (Foch) boulevard, to One Hundred and Ninety-second street, to One Hundred and Twentieth avenue, to Leslie road, the point or place of beginning.
District number eight (8) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Third senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of Hillside avenue and Kew Gardens road, and running thence along Hillside avenue to One Hundred and Sixty-second street, to Ninetieth avenue, to One Hundred and Sixtieth street, to Jamaica avenue, to One Hundred and Seventieth street, to Liberty avenue, to One Hundred and Seventieth street, to One Hundred and Eighth avenue, to Merrick boulevard, to One Hundred and Twentieth avenue, to One Hundred and Ninety-second street, to Linden (Foch) boulevard, to One Hundred and Ninety-sixth street, to One Hundred and Fourteenth avenue, to and along Murdock avenue, to Colfax street, to Two Hundred and Twelfth street, to Jamaica avenue, to Two Hundred and Twelfth street, to Hollis Court boulevard, to Forty-sixth avenue, to Fresh Meadow lane, to Sixty-ninth avenue, to One Hundred and Fifty-first street, to Sixty-ninth road, to Grand Central Parkway Extension, to Seventy-eighth avenue, to One Hundred and Fourteenth street, to Union Turnpike, to Queens boulevard, to Eighty-third avenue, to Kew Gardens road, to Hillside avenue, the point or place of beginning.
District number nine (9) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Third senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of One Hundred and Fourteenth avenue and the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Nassau, and running thence northerly along said boundary line to Little Neck bay, thence through the waters of Little Neck bay to Twenty-third avenue, thence along Twenty-third avenue to Bell boulevard, to Twenty-sixth avenue, to and along Bayside lane, to and along Bayside avenue, to Union street, to Northern boulevard, to Bowne street, to Cherry avenue, to Parsons boulevard, to Forty-fifth avenue, to One Hundred and Sixty-fifth street, to Forty-sixth avenue, to and along Hollis Court boulevard, to Two Hundred and Twelfth street., to Jamaica avenue, to Two Hundred and Twelfth street, to Colfax street, to Springfield boulevard, to One Hundred and Fourteenth avenue, to the boundary line between the counties of Queens and Nassau, the point or place of beginning.
District number ten (10) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Fifth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at u point on the pierhead line of Flushing bay opposite Ninety-first street at North Beach airport and running thence southerly to and along Ninety-first street, to Twenty-fourth avenue, to Ninetieth street, to Astoria boulevard, to Ninety-second street, to Northern boulevard, to Ninety-third street, to Thirty-fifth avenue, to Ninety-fourth street, to Roosevelt avenue, to Junction boulevard, to Horace Harding boulevard, to Queens boulevard, to Woodhaven boulevard, to Yellowstone boulevard, to Fleet street, to Thornton place, to Roxton street, to Queens boulevard, to Sixty-ninth road, to One Hundred and Fifty-first street, to Sixty-ninth avenue, to Fresh Meadow lane, to Forty-sixth avenue, to One Hundred and Sixty-fifth street, to Forty-fifth avenue, tjo Parsons boulevard, to Cherry avenue, to Bourne street, to Northern boulevard, to Union street to Bayside avenue, to and along Bayside lane, to and along Twenty-sixth avenue, to Bell boulevard, to Twenty-third avenue, to Little Neck bay, thence through the waters of Little Neck bay, East river and Flushing bay to a point opposite Ninety-first street at North Beach airport, the point or place of beginning.
District number eleven (11) shall consist of that part of the county of Queens and that portion of the Fifth senate district within and bounded by a line beginning at the East river and Hoyt avenue south, and running thence along Hoyt avenue south to Astoria boulevard, to Steinway street, to Thirtieth avenue, to Fifty-first street, to Northern boulevard, to Woodside avenue, to Sixty-ninth street, to Queens boulevard, to Horace Harding boulevard, to Junction boulevard, to Roosevelt avenue, to Ninety-fourth street, to Thirty-fifth avenue, to Ninety-third street., to Northern boulevard, to Ninety-second street, to Astoria boulevard, to Ninetieth street, to Twenty-fourth avenue, to Ninety-first street, thence northerly along Ninety-first street and along a line projected from the end of said street, to Flushing bay, thence through the waters of Flushing bay and East river to Hoyt avenue south, the point or place of beginning.
In the county of Richmond:
District number one (1) shall consist of that part of the county of Richmond and that portion of the Sixteenth senate district, within and bounded by u, line, beginning at Upper New York bay at the foot of Vanderbilt avenue, thence westerly along Vanderbilt avenue to Richmond road, thence southwesterly and westerly along Richmond road to Rockland avenue, thence northwesterly along Rockland avenue to Brielle avenue, to Sunset avenue to Willow Brook road, thence northwesterly and northerly along Willow Brook road to Watchogue road, thence easterly along Watchogue road to a brook known as Palmers run, located west of Wooley avenue, thence northerly along Palmers run to Forest avenue, thence northeasterly along Palmers run to the intersection of Post and Jewett avenues, thence northerly along Palmers run and Bodines creek to the Kill van Kull, thence easterly along the Kill van Kull to Upper New York bay, thence southerly along the shore of Upper New York bay to the point or place of beginning.
District number two (2) shall consist of that part of the county of Richmond and that portion of the Sixteenth senate district, within and bounded by a line, beginning at Upper New York bay at the foot of Vanderbilt avenue, thence westerly along Vanderbilt avenue to Richmond road, thence southwesterly and westerly along Richmond road to Rockland avenue, thence northwesterly along Rockland avenue to Brielle avenue to Willow Brook Road, thence northwesterly and northerly along Willow Brook road to Watchogue road, thence easterly along Watchogue road to a brook known as Palmers run, located west of Wooley avenue, thence northerly along Palmers run to Forest avenue, thence northwesterly along Palmers run to the intersection of Post and Jewett avenues, thence northerly along Palmers run and Bodines creek to the Kill van Kull, thence westerly, following the New York and New Jersey state boundary line along the Kill van Kull, and Newark bay to the Staten Island sound, or Arthur kill, thence southwesterly and westerly, following the New York and New Jersey state boundary line along the Staten Island sound, or Arthur kill, to Raritan bay, thence easterly and northeasterly along the shores of Raritan bay and Lower New York bay to the Narrows, thence northerly along the Narrows and the shore of Upper New York bay to the point of beginning, and including Shooters Island, so much of Buckwheat Island as is within the state of New York, Swinburne Island and Great Kills point.
The board of supervisors and the legislature, in establishing assembly districts within a county under the provisions of this section, shall make such districts as nearly equal as may be in the number of persons who voted therein for governor at the election held in November, nineteen hundred thirty-six, of contiguous territory and in as compact form as practicable. In counties having more than one senate district, the same number of assembly districts shall be established in each senate district unless the assembly district cannot be divided evenly among such senate districts in which case such assembly districts shall be so established that each of the senate districts in such county having the larger number of such voters, in the order thereof respectively, beginning with the largest, shall have one more assembly district.
