Developers must be stopped from purchasing homes from families. Families must be able to receive assistance to save their home. Developers not have any free reign due to their corrupt ties with various city council members.

In NYC their are racial disparities when it comes to health services and so forth. We must provide all communities especially my district which is predominantly Black and Brown and comprises mainly of Immigrant families with equal health services, emergency preparedness and funding for safety net hospitals. I would bring it to light and show the disparities and move to form an oversight committee to make sure that the disparities are no more.

• Reunification between child and parent should be the first priority. Anonymous calling should not be allowed to reduce the great number of false reports. All caseworkers responsible for any bias or negligence of a case should be fired and charged immediately. No more extended removals. Immediate reunification will be the goal. Any violation of Parental Rights should be deemed a criminal and civil violation. no supervisor should have any impunity. All caseworkers and supervisors must be mandated to undergo a mental health evaluation twice a year. Any case that is not deemed reliable in criminal court, shall have no grounds in family court.

Government Structures

How do you think NYC's system of checks and balances is working?

• The stories of corruption prove that the system is weeding it out

How would you fix NYC government's system of checks and balances and keep officials accountable to the public?

Over the past several years, NYC has developed an Open Data Plan and has been releasing datasets about select city services and operations to the public through the Open Data Portal. Is there any data about city services or operations that you think should or must still be shared with New Yorkers?

All cities, including NYC, are "municipal corporations" of state government - and state law dictates what authority cities have over their own government and operations. State law limits NYC government's control over rent regulation (Urstadt Law), mayoral control of city schools, transportation and traffic (the MTA and subways, bridge tolls, and speed cameras and speed limits). As a council member, how would you deal with state government when it gets in the way of your city policy goals?

I see no problem with bundlers but lobbyists should not be allowed to make any type of donations. Also, nonprofits for elected officials should not be accepting any donations from lobbyists. No more pay for play.
