Lessons from Experience
My experiences as a member and in leadership at CB7 gave me a solid understanding of the District 6 issues-- in particular my work with the D3 Community Education Council when we convinced the DOE to open a new school, PS452.
As the Councilwoman for D6, my understanding of the UWS issues has deepened. Simultaneously, my role as a leader in the city council has solidified: elected co-chair of the Women's Caucus and Vice Chair of the Progressive Caucus; appointed as Commissioner to the Mayor's Commission on Gender Equity.
