How to build relationships and being able to relate to my district and those who I work with. The relationship building skills I have will be able to get the bills and laws we need to make sure each resident have a safe place to call home, being able to afford the rent, put food on the table and live in a safe community.

How would you prioritize the different functions of the office of council member?
1: Constituent services

Each council member determines how to staff her/his office, and which positions she/he seeks to fill. Which positions do you plan to fill?

How will you recruit staffers?
• I'll work with the nonprofit organizations in my district to help me find people from the community to fill these jobs.
What criteria and process will you utilize in appointing community board members? Will you make your application process and any associated data transparent to the public, and if so, how?
I'll hold a town hall information session for those who are interested in the community board and work with our borough president to train them on how to understand how the community board works. The process will be available on my website and social media platforms to ensure transparency.

District Priorities: What do you think are the top 3 issues facing your district - and what is your plan to address each of those issues?
1. Preserving housing - working with HPD and NYCHA to make sure the housing is in good repair, so residents can live a healthy life.
2. Asthma - repairing NYCHA so children, seniors and residents can breath easier in their homes.
3. Living wages - work on increasing the minimum wage so people can stop working 3-6 jobs to make sure they can pay their rent, get to work, buy food for their family.
City Priorities: What do you think are the top 3 issues facing NYC as a whole - and what is your plan to address each of those issues?
1. Affordable Housing - working with state elected officials to change how we define affordable
2. Living Wages - working with state elected officials to get the minimum wage increase so families can go back being families again
3. Family Law - too many children are being the victim and it's time to truly put the child's best interest in the middle of divorce or CFS cases.
