The Text
The executive power shall be vested in a Governor, who shall hold his oflice for three years ; a Lieutenant-Governor shall be chosen at the same time, and for the same term. The Governor and Lieutenant-Governor elected next preceding the time when this section shall take effect shall hold oflice during the term for which they were elected.
